Artist Statement

I approached art as a vocation late in life and quite by accident. Due to an acute disability, construction of assemblage pieces grew froma form of self-imposed therapy to an obsession.

I am hard pressed to lend an explanation to my art as they rise from an intuitive process rather than any plan. Relying on a sense of humor, hope and despair, it often seems that the work composes itself while I am the apprentice to the construction.
